Uraya Beach Resort is one of the best beaches on mainland Samal, offering a beautiful white sand beach perfect for swimming and easily accessible, though the entrance fee is a bit pricey.
Uraya Beach Resort (also known as Olivia Sands) is located in Adecor, Kaputian District, offering an affordable getaway with an entrance fee of Php 300 per person for an overnight stay or Php 200 for a day tour. Small open cottages start at Php 1000, and they now offer bamboo cottages with air conditioning starting at Php 3000.
Surrounded by beautiful birds, trees, and natural serenity, the resort provides a calming atmosphere, especially at night with the soothing sounds of cicadas and night birds blending with the gentle waves.
The resort features small huts built over the water, connected by floating bridges leading to the shore. Its crytent stal-clear blue waters are perfect for swimming, allowing you to see underwater, and the powdery white sand is great for strolling or playing beach volleyball. Popular activities include boating, kayaking, and snorkeling, with stunning views of the ocean and nearby islets of Samal Island.
